Josie crochets and i seriously thought of her having the red ones (she gifted me the yarn) but......she's also been coveting the Amazing Crochet Lace book ~ i bought her that!

friday evening (8:36pm to be exact) i placed an order with The Loopy Ewe for some lovely Dream in Color Smooshy sock yarn, Posh yarn, Interlacements Tiny Toes.

saturday afternoon (1:44pm to be exact) i received an email telling me....awww you know....the USPS standard "blah blah blah here's the tracking # blah blah, it won't get there we just like to get your hopes up" email.

today ~ monday (4:30pm - but only cause i got home then & saw the package & T can't remember when the mail got here) ~ mind you a mere 2 days (only ONE working day - is saturday a working day?) HERE it is!!! yippeeeeee!!!

i really need to get started on my Sockapalooza Pal's socks - but guess what, her fav colors are not in this package! oh oh what to do???!

keep working on Loskins! that's what!

Loskins! are coming along. i think i made a boo boo in the beginning! i wrote down what i might have done so the second sock will have the same!

Ms Too Much Wool was very kind to email me the pattern before PayPal completed......so now i've got my weekend project! hopefully (everyone says the pattern goes fast) they'll be a pair of socks before monday morning :) ~~ pattern is in charts - ack! i have a time with charts - must learn!

Josie gifted me this scrumptious clearance yarn she bought at our LYS but didn't have enough for her project ~ there is plenty for socks ~ hmmmm, maybe she would like?

i love these Crystal Palace bamboo needles ..... i lost one tho (and have been searching, searching the house - i KNOW it's here!!!)

STR #3 Socks!

today i watched the the.....can't call them the "little ones" anymore, 2 are fairly big!!! today i watched L J & L M......it was pretty fun!

about 3pm T calls my cell & says i've got a package at home he thinks it my ISE4 scarf ---- cause he knows i've been waiting waiting waiting (patiently). so i ask, what's the return address????? he replies, i don't know, i'm outside now & the package is inside (hey, do your kids ever grow up!!!).

i used up all my restraint to say "hey, when you go back inside can you check for me & give me a call?" "SURe" he says - with only a little bit of exasperation! okay, i think, i can wait ~ 30minutes or so later he TEXTS me ~"it says something, something, OR, blue moon or something". as soon as i saw the OR (oregon) i knew...not my scarf :(

i guess it's just as exciting as ISE4 ......the 3rd kit from STR Club..... yay!

BFL

ooooo, oooooo, got some BFL roving from Lisa Souza sock yarn soft & purty!! (i know i haven't spun yet, just had to get it)

i have gotten several books from the library & re-watched the spinning CD ~ now to find some time.

ooooo, oooooo (again!) the rainbow yarn from Lazy Perry Ranch came too!! she custom dyed it using BFL yarn ~ i admit to becoming obsessed with BFL ~ but have you touched it or knit with it???? it's maaaavelous!

with each order she sends a stitch marker - they can be so cute or very elegant - what a nice touch!

in Alpaca news...........all the property hubby looks at........he evaluates whether it'll be good for them :) isn't hims a sweetie???! i'm not fooled tho, with him there is always and ulterior motive!

2nd Alpaca news.......a co-worker's sister (or sis-in-law) breeds them - in Pungo - she offered to get some fleece &&&&& to see if i can go visit them! just means when i'm ready to purchase, i'll actually know someone who can advise (maybe i'll just purchase from her!)

finally, these have been just sadly sitting and waiting and waiting.....poor things ~ they fit & feel so squishy, i can't believe it took me so long to finish them.

in other news, i cut my hair!!! hubby knows i do this every year (granted ~ she cut it shorter than i normally have it) ~ but come on - why do guys have to be such a pain?? he ......blahhhhhh! i love it!!

nope.....never got to spin. stuff happens wrong when ya plan things! i try not to plan stuff but i really wanted to attempt the spindle!

#2 son has been having some problems with his car...we went out to get it & go to a store i found online Knitting Sisters & got stuck ~ luckily not in the tunnel or on the bridge to the tunnel.

so my spin afternoon was spent stuck 10 minutes from his college & apartment & 40 minutes from home ~on the phone with the mechanic (hubby/dad)~ who might have had a couple beers~ telling us what to check/do!

bottom line - car is probably toast - had it towed to hubby's work. #2 has my car at college & i get to drive the yucky puke color truck - that needs to be replaced with a nice honda or acura!

have alot to do this morning ~task wise~ then am going to switch to MY time & watch the dvd (again) of spindle spinning......decided to practice on some roving that i won't mind if i mess it up!

saving the soooo soft soft stuff for if i get "good at it" as one of my.....uhhh, nice?......co-workers suggested??!

it's hilarious ~ they don't knit, spin, craft, crochet (welp one does - after i dragged her along to yarn stores - she picked it back up) BUTTTTTT they sure do have many ideas on what i should do/make!!! and and and think nothing of asking me to make them stuff..... one lady has 8 (!) yappy poodles & i knit those (5) funky acrylic eyelash doggie coats for her --- have never seen a pic. she HAD to have them but i don't think she likes them! (me neither!) besides, poodles have enough identity issues without putting them in stupid (oops! NSS) clothes. i don't really have anything against poodles ~ but 8 swarming around your feet -yapping is a bit much!!

STR sock club Socks!

woo hoo found the pics.....these are #1 kit & since #3 should be on it's way around June 18th.....thought i should get a move on! #2 kit is started also.

am following the patterns on both of these....i don't usually do toe-up - but i DO like toe-up & each time i wear the Trekking socks (that were done toe-up) i remark to myself that i really really like how they fit & i should do another toe-up pair....but i haven't :)

so now i AM & 2 pairs at that!!!!pretty funny too, in that these are being constructed by 2 circulars needles..... i love double point needles best, will/can do magic loop.....tried 2 circs a while back & couldn't get the hang of it!!

i'd pick up the wrong needle, end up with a weird twist & the sock being contorted horribly!! for some reason, this time....it just 'clicked' in the brain ~for the most part ~ it's fun!

Car Socks!

while i don't knit when the young ones are here (it's hard to ~when you're on the trampoline or swinging or chasing someone)....i do knit in the evenings and the tiger socks are growing. moving down the foot is always easy ~ once socks reach this point they travel with me in the car ~ just in case there is time to knit while waiting. T has several doc appts this week & next.....perfect for knitting time!

the BFL socks are making it to a point of random car travel too!!!! i love this pattern....thought briefly of con't pattern down the foot ~ maybe on the next pair!

the designer also has several other patterns on the Knitpicks site, plus she has many free patterns around the web & on her blog I’m Knitting As Fast As I Can.
