my munchkins came home!!!!! (yep, they are mine, their mom & dad might not think so but they're mine!)

welp, i'm a follower! i ended up ripping the 39 rows on the stole.....restarted with the new Addi Lace needles size 4 (instead of the size 5) and i like the fabric its producing a lot better.

oh and i decided to attempt the beads....didn't use them the first time.

made a cute baby bib (not sure why cause no babies to use it!)

the sugar & cream yarn is very thick - not sure the bib will absorb - yack will probably just run off it!

blue loskins! for sock pal are almost there, moving down both feet ~been searching for someone with my pal's size so they can do try-on.

hurry it up Socks!

1. changed the heel to EOP
2. changed the gusset decreases (really like PGR's decreases - knit to 5 stitches before marker k2tog then k3 and of course the corresponding k3, ssk at the other marker)
3. no other changes!
4. GOT to finish these, they need to travel & have to be mailed in 7 days!!



p.s. the cat & the bird would like you to know that they reside there also & they are fine too.....the DD (d*mb dogs) think it's ALL about them!

sock needle spin

1st sock done! not sure i like the toe much.......this yarn is thick & the sock is firm but supposed to soften up with wash (can be dryed too - without worrying about felting!)

think on sock 2 will do a different toe & if it feels better on my foot, will change the first sock.

bought a different circ for MS3.......might have to join the froggers & start over!! am usually a tight knitter, have to go up a needle size, but this lace yarn.....i don't know! will try the suggested #4

oh, remember my sad attempt at spindle spinning???? here's the uhhh "yarn" (loose definition - i know!) and here's what it looks like knit on size 8 needles -- i LIKE it!

Sockapalooza4 socks are coming along ~hope to finish this weekend ~ then can focus on MS3 all week.

STR socks got frogged & restarted...still not sure if i like the toe...think i'm gonna let them sit there & start the next kit !! :)

MS3 (kinda!)

this is my very first REAL lace project & i am happy to be moving slowly (see the "slow bee" in the sidebar?) because it will mean less mistakes for me.

lots of people have had to rip back or totally start over & since i kinda suck at being able to fix an error ~ i'll continue slowly :P

am really challenging myself! joined the other 6,000 people in the world for Mystery Stole 3

and since i've only knit lace in socks ~~~we shall see how it goes. i think i will do the swatch (surprise! - i never swatch - ever)

another challenge is that the pattern in only in chart form......now the Loskins! i used the chart and the written instructions from ms Cassie....so i might be ok!

ordered lace weight yarn from The Loopy Ewe (had no lace in my stash - go figure!)

& ACK! have you ever wound lace yarn ~1460 yards of yarn??? it got tangled, it broke, ended up with 7 (yep!) assorted sized cakes of yarn!

it's ok, it's, oK, it's OK! i can always stop & work on the blue Loskins or the STR socks :)
