Socks that Rock club ~ status on #1 and #2!!!!

these started as top down, i really like top down.....and i think this is not the skein of yarn that came with soltice slip kit, but i like it & it's stripes :)

guess i should say i "used to prefer" top down...

lots of people have something that models their started socks....so i'm using the "lamp lady" !!!

have 3 pairs of socks working on ~ all are toe up (now that the soltice slip socks have been re-started!)

the inside out socks will be completed this evening! outside?

still going on shine star hat - should be done this evening too - easy peasy fun pattern - hope it felts okthis is lace curtain from Knitpicks

progress on the Socks that Rock sock club #1

both socks are at this point cause i like to keep them moving at same pace (helps me make sure they come out same length!) yep, that is the cuff of my sockapalooz4 sock in the bottom corner - wore them again yesterday :)

club#2 is started and hanging around ~ pic hasn't changed since last time :P

club# 3 has been opened but not cast on ~ pretty girl thinks that is just WRONG

so guess what came in the mail yesterday! club#4!!

and an inside shot of the cool bag a friend gave me for my b-day (tues - yep, i am now 26!)

8amPeople

i have a fairly flexible boss (hey, those who know her, stop laughing!)

i work monday thru friday no weekends, no holidays.












i can arrive at work between 6am - 9am and not be late!! how cool is that??

















what i'm really getting at is the people on the road thru those hours are very different.













the 6am people are easy drivers ~ on their way to work but not real rushed.









the 7am people are almost the same as the 6am - cept they're moving a little quicker.





the 8am people suck man! they're rushing, mean, will cut you off, flip you off, beep at you senselessly, change lanes every second to get one car place ahead of you. ~ hey all you 8am people ~~~ leave for work earlier!!!




now the 9am people ~they're pretty cool, they just drive, traffic flows, you can even get a friendly wave, AND if you signal, they'll let you over!






soooo, ummmm, what time do i leave for work??!

German Socks!

oh, welp, i gotta make them socks first!

WOLLMEISE sock yarn

i'm not sure i can knit them into socks!!! they're too pretty ~ they'll just be my pets till the Alpacas join the family :)

hoo boy Socks!

a pair of kiwi!!! this yarn makes a firm fabric, i hope it softens with wash - it's supposed to.

had to redo the toe on sock#1 - it's better now!

a hat (out of lion wool dyed with cherry & lemonade koolaid) this yarn has tried to be many things ~ i think i've got it with this pattern shine star

i've gone up several needle sizes ~ planning to felt this

but sock patterns keep dancing in my head :) marina

MS3 is calling my name ~ i'm not even thru the first clue !

tell me again WHY do we go to work every day????

un-Birthday!

#2 son had a birthday over a week ago......

when the boys were young, we had a tradition kinda....

the family would get together for cake & ice cream and/or pizza.

since they've hit their 20's, we've fallen off the tradition thing.

T (who is also #3 son), distressed that we hadn't done the tradition thing, called me at work yesterday to inform me that we would be doing the thing at 6pm

~ my involvment was to purchase the cake, ice cream, soda, etc on my way home!

you might notice that some family members are missing in the pics.....hands went up blocking my photo taking ability.

I'm so lucky Socks!

today was the perfect day to........receive Sockapalooza4 socks!!!!!please excuse the blurred pic - tho it makes them look cool! the air is just hanging all around you outside ~ it's 101 today (don't know what the heat index is but isn't 101 enough for ya?)



they're so lovely, so soft, so sproingy & the colors just SCREAM my name!!



T is happy cause "now you don't have to call me every time you think the mail came" !! hims is so sweet, no?!

the lovely, wonderful socks were made by Susanna who blogs at Suzeq 22 Knitsthank you thank you!!! i love them & they fit perfectly!!!

as a matter of fact, i'll be wearing them to work on monday ~ the cath lab is always cold :)

man, woke up and now can't sleep!
could blame it on the silly indoor cat ~ she seems to think the humans should pet her even when they're sleeping.
but really am worried about mom's cat ~ not sure "sugar wan knobi" is gonna make it thru the weekend.
i guess i could knit ~ instead am staring at our wall of kid pics ~ muh-ay-be the sandman will come back.

don't tell on me but oh, i might be a sockapal - loser! they're almost done, finishing will commence this evening! if i'm lucky - to put the package together quickly - will mail them tomorrow, otherwise it's monday morning :(
