am gearing up to start new sockies ~ never got to the LYS for extra needles ~ guess will end up doing magic loop cuz got plenty of Knitpicks needles !!

meanwhile, started yet another scarf ~ yarn change and pattern change ~ the jury is still out! good thing i have til Dec 1st to mail ISE5 scarf! some people are already done and have sent theirs ~ over achievers!!!

me pink socks are coming along ~ hope to post to Sockamania this week a finished pair! i joined in Sept but never finished that pair :(

L B, L J, L M visited today ~ the weather has changed to cool and windy ! my favorite ~after SNOW of course :) i should've gotten the camera out but we stayed outside the whole time & i didn't think.

i'm continuing on with my pink socks, i love them and tho i'm fanatical about how socks feel in my shoes, i might just fold them over and ..............nah, they'll be...........i'll consider gifting them to my OLDEST sister :)

2 other pairs of socks will now get some attention - maybe!

i do like the way it came out and am trying to ignore how much it would like me to knit it!

wilton's cake dyes ~ christmas red, rose pink, violet. those 3 colors gave a wonderful array. there is orange, blue, bit of yellow, purple, brown ~ it's amazing!!

man, i love these socks ~ they aren't going to fit ~ me!

i neglected to look at the instruction that said "repeat this row until the foot measures 4in/10cm shorter than the full length"

and of course when i realized this (usually it's 2") i'd already gone WAY beyond and there was no way i was frogging back.

no matter what this cat thinks!

before i started this heel, i paused briefly and thought "mmmmm this isn't going to fit me, maybe i should do a short row heel" but DID i?? nope!

have i mentioned ***these aren't going to fit me***!

dang, and it's my special SCREAMING pink sock yarn ~ maybe with a wash they'll magically adjust to my size?????

someone had to go to school -but everyone sang Happy Birthday to her :)

someone got to open a few presents before school

and after school more presents!!

oh what a day! should have turned the car around and headed home! i sure know why VA is making (attempting to anyway) road rage laws!

at one 'well traveled' traffic light....2 lanes get a green arrow to turn left. i'm in the outside lane, blonde chick in cute car is inside lane.....light turns green, cars go forward, blonde chick cuts into my lane.

now, really,,,, i only had to just tap my brakes to avoid a collision & i didn't lay on the horn, kinda just bip bip deal.....ya know, what the ????

blonde chick moves to the side of me, keeps pulling up, dropping back, pulling up & i'm thinking jeepers what is her deal, she cut ME off!

so she slides back up the side of me & i roll down the window, obviously she needs to speak to me! she's screaming, "i had a green light lady" (uhhh, blonde chick, so did I!)

so i'm letting her get it out and then (by now we're at the next red light) i say..............loudly -as i have tried to interrupt her dissertation about how she had a green light several times -- TWO lanes get the green light, TWO lanes go left --(finally, when i use my two fingers to show her TWO) and YOU cut me off......she gets it!!!

immediately her balloon pops, the rage fades and she says "you're absolutely right, i'm sorry" and she keeps level with me (yea, we're driving again, the light turned green!) and she's apologizing and all i want to do is clap my hands **YAY** she GOT it (she is blonde mind you)

i tell her thank you (for apologizing) and head in to work where the best part of the day ends up being the blonde chick and her i'm sorry!

can i have a beer now?


p.s. i have nothing against blonde chicks! several of my 6 sisters are blonde (or have been blonde in their lives!!!) my DIL is blonde, L B, L J, L M are all blonde, #1 son is blonde ~~~ blonde people of the world please don't take offense :)

finally!!!

has taken me forever

normally i knit socks top down

have 2 pairs knit toe up

i do like toe up but my wraps suck!

then tried double wrap so didn't have to pick up the wraps

love the garter toe and heel - hides bad wraps better!

this time while working on Sockamania socks ~ picked the toe up version.

tried turkish cast on, figure 8 cast on, couldn't get them to work :(but i do like the "screaming pink" yarn :)

researching came across this easy toe ~ (scroll down, 'bout half way/end of article)

in non yarn news:

the backyard seems to have quite a bit of static electricity!

we had a fun day even tho Poppy tried to make us (me) work

L B & L J distracted him with a trampoline show ~ even made tickets!

L M distracted him with the "slide" show :)
