when husbeast (ha!) brought me a box that said "thank you for your order" it was a bit concerning!

he thinks i buy MORE yarny stuff now than before i retired ~ nope actually ~ it's less!

plus i couldn't remember just what i might have purchased ~ i told him i was getting this and this

new socks are moving right along!!

and i have been 'made responsible' for posting b-day pics! you should know that our family is fairly large (last time L B and i counted ~ about 120 ~ parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, g-parents) so there are several b-days each month ~ no month is empty!

weekend frolic

this weekend seems to have flown by ~ yep! i know that it's only sunday morning but i gotta work tomorrow and ...........this weekend has flown by!!

even yesterday went fast - of course maybe because - i had the sweet cutie pies! and we were having FUN ~ even tho husbeast (ha!) was sanding the floors.

i forgot to get pics of them jumping rope~~ maybe next time! i can't wait for my ankle to support me jumping rope ~ to "double dutch" !!!!

meanwhile L B and L J have figured out their own rhythm to jumping and even C D B got in on it! he was able to run through without getting caught on the rope :)

then we did a version of limbo, with L B doing this crazy 'walk under' that landed her on her back!! geez, i wish i had the camera out, we laughed forever!

and then L J did some high jumps over the rope with advice from Poppy on how far/quick he needed to run to make it over! i need to strap the camera to my forehead

L B got some time on Mamere's beach cruiser bike!! a few more inches and she wont' have any problem.

L J also figured out how to ride it, he had to "stand" and peddle all the time & rode mostly in the grass ~ sorry no pics of that, i.............welp, he was giving me the creeps......so didn't ride it long!

C D B brought his bike and while he CAN peddle, prefers to and moves faster when pushing with his feet (kinda like crawling is quicker than walking in the beginning!)

t'was a great day ~~~ before we knew it J & S were there to get them! the only down side of the day was hearing the ice cream man's 'jingle' and having him skip our street :(

p.s. yes, i know she wasn't wearing a helmet, they DO wear helmets when riding, i was nervous and pacing and watching while she navigated the street. BUT also remember ~ we made it through life without helmets, without seat belts etc...........yes they are fantastic items and have saved many lives and a second set will be purchased to have at Mamere's!

Every holiday has oddball things available to use for decoration, have in the house, or wear - some things are stranger than others. What's the oddest/strangest/weirdest Halloween decoration you have ever gotten for your home? Or, if you've never had a "wow, did I REALLY buy that?!" moment - what's the strangest Halloween decoration you've seen somewhere else?

ummmmm, i totally LOVE strange ~~ so i don't have a good answer!

i will say that i do travel thru one neighborhood around Halloween because they have this really HUGE cool spider web that hangs between 2 of their trees and when it's dark they 'spotlight' the incredibly large spider that sits in the web!

i've not been able to find where they got the web ~ tried to craft my own one year. this year might try to enlarge a crocheted web.

will try to get a picture ~~ but last year they didn't display it ~ hope they haven't moved!!
