adaptation

so as i'm working on the leyburn socks.......i'm thinking..........

it would be cool in a scarf!!

this is a couple pattern repeats done...........i like it! and i bet this makes it way to my ISE 7 pal !!!!!! :)

i miss my socks & sock yarn~!!

and a couple pairs have developed holes ~ some people actually "darn" them, some people say "DARN!" as they toss them in the trash! i guess i'll say "dern" as i give them to #3 son's bunnies!

so i'm going to try to keep a pair of socks going and and and ~~~ make a pair a month!

the circle socks will count for january ~ unless i finish the plain socks above in the next couple days ~ which IS possible!

this chewy chewy yarn will become Leyburn Socks ~ go look on ravelry for some great looking variations/colors

man, i never set goals (welp this isn't really a goal) and i don't NEED socks ~ even with the few that have holes there is still an abundance ~~ but i NEED socks ~ get it??

i'm starting another!!! just cuz i want to be sure and send the best one! am using another yarn, another pattern, oh i am happy with this but want it to be unique, perfect, etc!

the tiredness is leaving ~ at least during the day ~ i found i need to relax for a sec and then stay up!

my family has been wonderful and watchful ~~ now we need to get back to normal (ha! like we're normal!)wake up!

the cats have been freaking me out, following me around and hanging out in the room i'm in ~ i remember Dad saying he could tell when he was getting ill ~ the cats would sit/sleep with him!

but i think mine are just confused at why i'm home all day!!! sorry lovely ones ~ back to work on monday!!! but i'm still only working about 16 hours a weekit's been cold, we need a human to keep warm

p.s. they are calling for a "wintery" mix for tues! ha! no one will listen to them and we'll get creamed!

fickle

was trying pattern for toe-up socks.......but the patterning of the yarn is too busy, so after one sequence of the pattern (8 rows) i flipped to a 'plain ole sock' pattern!

then i was going to start socks in the red/white for Valentine's but.........

this arrived !

and suddenly it was wound ~ see how much it wants to be my Feb socks????

the funniest part ~ they hyped it up soooooo much ~~ schools closed ~ the city closed!

when i went to the MD ~ a sign was on the door ~~ closed due to weather ~~ ha!

and last night on the news ~ they tried to back peddle saying they never said our area would get snow ~ just that a storm was on the way (umm liars) ~ then they said that the snow was all above us ~ evaporated before it was able to get thru the cloud cover ~ dumb buckets!

yippee! finally got these done


they were actually a lot of fun to knit ~ just lost some momentum there thru the holidays.


am having fun with the wallaby! couldn't find the other skein of green so the sleeves will each be a purple-y pink and the pouch & hood will be a heather-y purple! hey! someone packed a lot of stuff and i can't find NOTHIN!



which leads to.....husbeast (ha!) asked me where the box was of tax info ~ ???????? i founded the kitty! do you see her??

we had several calls on the house and 3 "showings" the other day! keep your fingers crossed! i found 22 acres in WV i want!!


husbeast (ha!) was very distressed to lose at scrabble last night ~ he took forever on his turns and L B and i would breeze thru ours!!!

L B fell at the ice skating rink and bruised her elbow ~ has to wear an immobilizing sling for a bit

it might snow this weekend ~ here snow means a 'brief flurry' ~ but i'll take it!

well that was fun.......

NOT!!!

we have a horrible family history of heart disease.....and i've been good about stress tests ~ on the advice of my docs ~ oh and working in the cath lab at a hospital for 11 years ~ you kinda get to see it all ~ it's pretty cool!


so.....recently my family doc and i have been discussing my one leg that gets these incredible (in a bad way) muscle spasms and whether or not it's connected to my statin med......it's not, mainly because it would be both legs and other muscles (and we tested it - went off my statin for a week)

then i started with these jaw twinges and tightness and one of our cathing physicians ~ he refused to let me write my symptoms off ~ on the car accident a couple months ago......


which started the cycle of:: ekg, stress test, blah blah blah, etc. and they were all normal ~but~ he still felt like the symptoms meant something and now they have this new thingy - CTA of your chest (which insurance doesn't pay for, experimental)


it's pretty COOL! the machine circles around you, talks to you (take a deep breath, blow it out, take another, blow it out, take another, hold it....) takes about 6000 pics a minute of your heart at all angles


so i did all the testing he wanted, but was really focused on Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year ~~ i mean ~ come on ~ each and every test over the years has been negative ~~ so i just went about my business and life!

welp! then i got a call tonite ~ bummer dude! my CTA was positive!!! (oh and hey - when the doc calls you at home - BAD!)

WHAT?? to say i was shocked is a total understatement (not ME!) ~ but going to follow up on it and have a cath

~ yahoo!! my fellow employees get to cath me ~ can i lose some weight first?? !!


1/10/09 ETA: had my cath! woot!! i'm now the proud owner of 2 drug eluting stents!! :P blah

home now ~let's get back to knitting ~ huh!

husbeast (ha!) was funny ~ he's been the one really wanting to move out of the busy city ~ i could stay or go BUT i want snow ~ so go it is......however........

when the contract was complete, the sign in the yard ~~ his stomach hurt!!!!

now the problem is going to be keeping the house clutter free ~ i'm a big time clutter maker! we LIVE in every room of our home, always have, the kids, g-kids are just as welcome to snuggle and read, watch tv in our bedroom as in the den. we've never been the family that had one or two rooms no one was allowed in and they stayed in this "perfect" state.

my knitting and books and other things seem to follow me and drop off in all rooms waiting for me to come back :P this drives husbeast (ha!) and #3 son crazy ~ not that they're neat freaks - it's just not THEIR clutter :)

all of my yarn is packed (but within easy reach!) and i saved out 3 projects - hoping to force myself to finish!
