oh boy!!

there are quite a few knitting blogs out there

i have 6 or 8 that i follow every day ~ i like to see what they're knitting, what's happening in their world ~ i mostly lurk, commenting when i have questions or they've made me laugh out loud!!

Stitches of Violet is one of the daily stops ~ yep! i actually have a folder that its name is "daily read blogs"

she has such a great blog...........lots of info on knitting, socks too! and lots of wonderful pics of the world around her.....i love the nesting box checks in the spring.......i like her doggies! and all the birds that land right where she can get the best pics!

~ she held a contest for her 5 years of blogging and offered up some sock yarn from SlackFord Studio ~ amazingly ~~ i won a skein!

it's so pretty ~~ don't ya think???

there were some lovely stitch markers with it!

(and i visited the shop - i like the BRIGHT yellow, the BLAZING pink - i see them in my future!)

didn't get picks of it on the tinkertoy swift ~ but it's wound now and ready to become some sockies!!!

another week

anticipating some chilly weather (which i have again been denied!) found one of my ISE scarves

it was looking good until i happened to see a spot where yarn pulled.........shouldn't have looked!!

ended up seeing all these little ends ~ couldn't figure it out ~ it'd been packed away ~ safely, securely guess the yarn deteriorated BLAH!

sat down to repair ~~ finally got to a place where could capture all stitches

and didn't see anymore bad yarn~ one side is now shorter ~ but hey! its a scarf ;)

it was sooooooooo frustrating that:

i crocheted this (and ate some pie!)

started scarves for Mr. Flurry

unpacked the bunnies ~ ~ they need a bath! today we'll figure out a cleaning plan.............you just can't toss them in the washer! RIGHT?? !

meanwhile...back at the non-ranch....

usually there are more projects hanging around.....

but i started and finished this in a day......guess i need to start some more sockies!!!

this annoying........dumba** cat has brought in field mice

thru the cat door...........the past 3 nights in a row!

mice??? mice??? where??? hmmmm, don't let her sweet fluffy innocent face fool you...........but she only watches ~ knows the rules..........no touching the alpha kitty's mice!!

while the plan is there and the yarn/pattern is ready................

these decided they should be first!

they've grown fast ~~ the yarn is from my win at Sockamania

but the pattern is a Wendy Knits purchased from The Loopy Ewe ~~a long while back

~~mainly cuz i haven't purchased any yarns or patterns in FOREVER!

ummmmmmmmm, i DO have a uhhhhhh fairly large, nahhhh, a large stash of sock yarn tho, so don't feel too sorry for me!!

verry foggy this morning and no snow! it's actually been quite warm here........blah!

satisfaction Socks!

aka: TG they are DONE!this yarn has bugged me since day one! i can't tell you how many different patterns i tried (welp! i could but you don't really want to know)

and while i liked this pattern ~ it really didn't fit the yarn ~ but i was OVER it and this yarn was gonna leave the stash ~ one way or another!

these were the NEVER ending blue BLURRS........i swear.....they were easy.........12 row repeat.....but felt like i'd been knitting them for months (i had!) the yarn is a bamboo/wool blend ~ i kinda freaked when washing them ~ the yarn got all stiff and.........i don't know, it was weird, but now that they're dry again they are back to soft and smooshy ~ whew!

so i started then finished it!

it's kinda sad........i bought this yarn and color because of all the pics i've seen and how intense the colors are (the colorway name is "intense")not like that in real life! very muted. not loud and bright........the flash of everyone's camera made the colors POP

but.................will start the matching mittens today :P (the pattern is great ~ and looks good inside out too!)

made another of ~ because the one from last year gets used everyday as a coffee mug coaster!

redoing ~ cuz our smarmy basement ~ made it collapse!

it's lasted ALL these years (about 17) to fall victim to a wet basement??? i don't think so! unwound the tangled yarn, washed it, bought balloons, and it's drying again now ~ also saved the felt face ~ so it will be (almost) the same!
