not done!! at/around the heel flap ~~ i was not sure about continuing pattern down the foot -- the p3tog might bug me in my shoe ~~ but i went for it and it's fine.

started ~~ some baby socks for a co-worker ~ yay! for IVF! ~~ it's a boy :)

these newborn socks......

are from some leftover yarn of the girl/slash/friend socks ~ can't remember color name but the yarn is the original base of Dani -Sunshine Yarns

~~~ oh, i made up the pattern ~~ i think i used 40 stitches and a k3p1..........they're so cute!


or are these next up?? thinking about starting! this is the cashmere blend ~ want to use for march's Sockamania pattern (yep, i know the new pattern is imminent!)

hey! HEY! has anyone noticed??? he's sleeping NEAR me ~ move him! spring must be coming ~ these two need to STOP!

most mornings i wake to the black/white one sitting on me, batting at my chin, or standing at the side of the bed, batting at my chin ~ while the fluffy one ~ jumps on the bed & jumps down, jumps up, jumps down ~ he's not very graceful and kinda "THUNKS" when he lands ~ it's very noisy!! plus when you pet him he purrs..........but when he purrs.......he DROOLS......so you end up with cat spit on yours hands! one time he leaned in to sniff my hair (i don't know why he does that) and his DROOL dropped on the side of my face and into my EAR!!! talk about rude awakenings ~ that was soooooooo gross!

i finally got 'google translate' to attempt to translate the blog ~~~ so i can read some of her happenings!

the owl hat has been on my list "to do" for a while ~~~ and i think it's great that she put beads for the owl EYES!!

not only that ~~~ she has the same kitty cat!! ours has more white on the nose & around the neck but even the eye color is the same!!

p.s. yes, if you look closely, his clothes are on backwards! he dresses himself and we have yet to get the tags in the back - hey, give us a break here! - we finally got him to put his shoes on the correct feet

oh make that 2 ~~~ sleeves!

it was debatable! but only because (i think) the pattern sleeves are too short for the year/times ~ i added about 2" ~ it's nice to have extra sleeve ~ dontchathink?? especially for kids ~ you can always roll them up!

big baggy saggy pants are another thing! tho i gotta admit ~ it is hilarious when driving by and the guy's pants sink to his knees!!! (i have yet to see one trip and fall - still hoping!)

WHATEVER! ~~ i knit using both ends of the skein and had to steal some yarn from the first sleeve to make the second the same length - good thing i hadn't CUT the yarn :) but see my other issue???? that is ALL the green i have left :P ~~ the hood color will have to be started earlier than the hood

anywhoooooo............am glad to have tested this pattern in a smaller size before starting my own "wallaby" - i don't care for picking up the pouch stitches - it is hard to follow the row of knitting.......so for mine, i'll knit across with the pouch yarn and then the yarn/stitches will be there and ready for "powch" time!!!

there was another modification but i'm clueless at the moment ~ as usual!

why yes, we are trying to sell our home...... and our jerky neighbor IS building a big honk'n UGLY addition to his house ~ not only that, he's been banned (denied) adding any more concrete to his land by the city!!! by the time he's done, there will be NO grass/yard there.

here's my start (welp, i really caught up ~ to day 5)

made 2 mistakes in the beginning that i can see ~~~ not frogging back tho! they will be "design adjustments" !!! ;)

am using Bernat's Handicrafter yarn - the huge skein - it's softer than i thought and a bit thinner

i'll be wearing to work! i always find it funny on toe-up socks ~ my bind off (the way i have to adjust it) looks all ruffle-y!!

but on the leg ~ it's fine! if you click and look closely you can see i started off with the Leyburn pattern but the self-striping was obscuring it!

ha!! also if you look closely you can see the beginning of the scar on my right leg ~ acquired when i was 5 or 6 ~ cuz a sister left her bike in the driveway and another sister was chasing me....i think i told on her about something - a revenge thingy!.....when i turned to run.....the bike fender sliced my leg and i had to receive 5 stitches!!! then the doc took them out too soon ~ yep! dumb*ss ~ had to restitch - hence the (i feel) HUGE scar!!!

next monday i might get to wear

we shall see.......oh, and i totally recommend Etsy :: Chewy Spaghetti yarn! sproingy and soft and stripes ~~ without having to restart in several spots or have a certain # of stitches......so far no pooling either! stinky pic, but when embiggened shows the p3tog little nubb made :)

talked to my mom the other day.......

never think of her as "old"......i mean i know she's in her 70's

but she's always been the same MOM ~~that i remember as a kid/teen/kinda adult

(oh, you can't ever be an adult in a family of 8 - EVER! especially when you're toward the end of the 8! ~~ i swear ~~ i've tried!)

this time i recognized her as one of the ummmm......elders (i guess) that i see every day at work (patients in their 60-90's!) ~ it was very weird!

she answered "oh, hi"......i could tell she was distracted, wanted to talk,,,,but also, wanted to get off the phone! tolerated me (for around 4minutes) ~ then ~ buh.....bye!

my brother has told me this happens to him..........and i've pretty much said him, "nuhh unnhhh, nahhhhh, you're just sensitive" ~~ sorry big brother!! sorry!!!!

it is chilly tho, and that makes me giddy and ummmmm (according to a fellow rehab patient) "sparkle ~y" !!

i've had my PVC's, PAC's and they've been documented on the monitor ~ on one side ~ i'm thrilled ~ shows me i'm not crazy ~ that they're happening ~ and my BP's been all over the place so i get to take another med ~ yahoo??

but on the other side ~ CRAP! ha! not only do i have my Dad's heart disease ~ i got a double whammy and have my Mom's arrhythmia's!
