scarf saga

yay! i made it to and partway thru the second skein!! i really like this cotton.

it measured 21" unblocked so a second skein should take it to 42-44" ~ and of course blocking might make it longer & wider too

my pal likes long, so will be winding the 3rd skein - but it's also supposed to be a spring scarf so maybe she won't want it too long & i can send the last skein and she can knit a hat or something!!

or i could do the hat - tho - how to make it fit without measurement & secrecy???

still have 6 days before it has to be mailed so plenty of time to screw things up!!!!! ;)

oh yea, it has to be washed/blocked so only 3 days left ~ eek!

usually my mail lady leaves packages (i do get alot of yarn!) but this needed a signature extra goodies kept the shawl company!

have started and frogged soooooooo many scarves this week...blah!


i know i have til May 26 to get ISE6 scarf in the mail..........but i'd like it to be mailed earlier.



sock patterns continue to swirl in my head and i have to keep telling myself - scarf! scarf! scarf! :)

really wanted to use the manos del....but it can't get itself together with a pattern

from now on any scarf requiring 2 skeins will be knit alternating the skeins every 2 rows!!

this IS a lovely scarf ~ but "two-tone" and not good enough to send to my ISE6 pal....... she is a fabulous knitter and i'm trying to measure up!

comfy, pretty, squishy ~~~ only issue: knots in skein!! (this is not the first time that has happened with Cherry Tree Hill sock yarn)



now to work on the watermelon socks ~ they refuse to grow cause i had so many issues with yarn breaking ~ i don't want to finish and have them fall apart!



i did tell myself to finish the scarf that needs to be mailed ~ let's see if i listen to myself :)
