two words

so today i decide that "okay, the scarf is done and really has to be blocked properly"

am sitting thinking and wishing that i'd purchased some blocking wires (like i said the last time a lace scarf was knit on my needles)

and i'm just sitting and looking around, toys are kinda scattered and i see L B's thingy she's got attached to some kite string

and i think, "man i really need to pick up these toys and what the heck is she doing with this kite string" (L M had tried to choke himself with it last week)

but then i realized they'd be here this afternoon and if i picked up the toys now, i'd just have to do it again later.............

and then it hits me ------KITE STRING!!! do YOU get it??? KITE STRING!

shall i say it again?? KITE STRING!

woven thru the short and long ends of the scarf and secured with properly placed pins (far less pins than normal) KITE STRING becomes blocking wires!!!

almost perfect, a few more adjustments and taaaaaaaa daaaaaaaaaa i'm done!

i couldn't believe my luck ~ i'm sure others have used this and many other items (hey, dental floss would work too and fishing line)

and soooooooo i'll leave ya with 2 words ~~ KITE STRING!! ~~
