satisfaction Socks!

aka: TG they are DONE!this yarn has bugged me since day one! i can't tell you how many different patterns i tried (welp! i could but you don't really want to know)

and while i liked this pattern ~ it really didn't fit the yarn ~ but i was OVER it and this yarn was gonna leave the stash ~ one way or another!

these were the NEVER ending blue BLURRS........i swear.....they were easy.........12 row repeat.....but felt like i'd been knitting them for months (i had!) the yarn is a bamboo/wool blend ~ i kinda freaked when washing them ~ the yarn got all stiff and.........i don't know, it was weird, but now that they're dry again they are back to soft and smooshy ~ whew!

so i started then finished it!

it's kinda sad........i bought this yarn and color because of all the pics i've seen and how intense the colors are (the colorway name is "intense")not like that in real life! very muted. not loud and bright........the flash of everyone's camera made the colors POP

but.................will start the matching mittens today :P (the pattern is great ~ and looks good inside out too!)

made another of ~ because the one from last year gets used everyday as a coffee mug coaster!

redoing ~ cuz our smarmy basement ~ made it collapse!

it's lasted ALL these years (about 17) to fall victim to a wet basement??? i don't think so! unwound the tangled yarn, washed it, bought balloons, and it's drying again now ~ also saved the felt face ~ so it will be (almost) the same!
