weird random got nothing

it's been a mish mash of things around here (pond fish)

still working on the blue socks..........hope to finish those this weekend (they have somewhere to be!)

still working on the MOJO socks ~ the fun of changing pattern rows is fading ~ they'll become ankle socks cuz i want them done :P

had my first interview in 24 years..........wasn't planning on really working again ~ but stuff ~ i want to do and all.....requires some moola......it was very interesting! i.e.: "what are your strengths, what are your weaknessess, what would you do if this happened, tell us about your prior duties"

blah blah blah! we shall see! i am (kinda) getting bored after 5months of no work ~ NO the basement is not unpacked ~ come do it for me!

anyway...........the other day ~ picked up #3 ~ it was dark sooo DARK coming back up mountain ~ ya know, there aren't any street lights here! oh, we have our own at the bottom of the drive near the house, but elswhere ~ nope! when you look in the rearview mirror ~ BLACKNESS

any whoooooooo,,,,,picked him up, we're on our way around the mountain (have to go around before going up!) come around this curve and..........a nice fat HUGE black bear is loping down the road!

it was so cool :) .........the fur on his legs was shimmering and flopping and it just made you want to...reach out and.......pet it.....

i sped up a little (welp! you can only go about 20-25 anyway, so no real speed up) and he keeps running in front of the car!

#3 ~ by now ~ is saying "DON'T STOP" .....yeh, like i'm going to stop to see a black bear (be quiet-i have not done that before)

~ only he knows that i stop to talk to our neighbor's hog, and the other neighbor's horses and new baby cow, and the other neighbor's dogs and cats. YOU would too.....

he's sure our neighbors think i'm crazy ~ and i use the word 'neighbors' very loosely ~ we have 20 acres and they each probably have around the same ~ definitely not like the city ~ we can't even see their houses from our house ~ but they are there??

oh, i'm rambling............the bear..........he decided to cut through the woods and creek and made his way to where-ever!

we get home, husbeast(ha!) is sleeping ~ it WAS 1am or so ~ he wakes up and says something and i respond: "We gotta get a gun" !!

which is so off the wall for me........i hate guns, the boys really didn't even have guns as kids, maybe a squirt gun or nerf thing here or there but......i hate guns!

now husbeast(ha!) is mad cuz i got to see a bear first..........

p.s. i do not plan to shoot the bear ~ ughhh not me ~ but need to be prepared ~ or maybe the sound will scare him??
